There are now two real estate industries. High-Touch and High-Tech. It seems each has contempt for the other.
Firms based in brick and mortar buildings claim the value is in encouraging and implementing face-to-face meetings. Old school practitioners feel that this is a “High Touch” business and that will never change.
High Tech real estate firms based in CyberSpace claim that technology (their technology) “adds value to the consumers’ experience.” (Wow, if I had a dollar for every time I read or heard ‘em say that…)
While both feel contempt for the other ~ they quietly borrow from each other endlessly.
