Anderson Elementary School, located in the Moreland School District,
educates over 400 students in a safe, productive learning environment.
The school staff is dedicated to developing the whole child by teaching
academic competence, modeling effective social skills, and providing
engaging enrichment opportunities.
The academic program is focused on research-based teaching practices
and standards-based curriculum. Every six weeks, students are assessed
in the areas of vocabulary and reading comprehension and are showing
excellent growth.
Anderson students are offered excellent enrichment opportunities thanks
to the support of local neighborhood associations, businesses, and the
parent community. Students are participating in visual arts, poetry,
photography, and ballet.

included: cake decorating, exercise, and gang awareness. Other classes
are scheduled for the beginning of the year.
The staff at Anderson strives to strengthen the bond between students,
parents, and staff resulting in the ability of all students to reach their full
potential in being responsible citizens and life-long learners. If you are
