Moreland Middle School

Moreland Middle School, located in the Moreland School District, serves a
richly diverse group of 6th – 8th grade students in a traditional middle school
setting. The middle school program is scheduled such that students have
less-frequent class changes. This allows staff to work more individually
with students, get to know them better, and differentiate instruction. The
staff at Moreland Middle School is dedicated to providing an exemplary
academic program that is standards-based, well-rounded, and rigorous.

In addition, the staff at Moreland Middle provides extensive opportunities
for students to expand their participation at school by providing such
activities as: student government programs, leadership opportunities,
community awareness projects, theater presentations, music classes,
intramural sports, and much more. The teachers, administrators, and
parents work as a team to ensure the success of every student.

Moreland School District and Moreland Middle School have a long tradition
of active parental involvement. Parents are invited to participate in monthly
Home and School Club meetings, assist in classrooms, attend quarterly
Principal’s Coffee meetings, chaperone dances and field trips, and help to
build monthly newsletters and handouts. Home and School Club members
liaise with members of the Home and School Clubs of the feeder elementary
schools and the high schools that students will attend.

At Moreland Middle School, a rigorous educational program is provided in
conjunction with activities that support student and parent involvement.
