Q: We were shocked to learn that the sellers walked out while our offer was being presented by our agent. According to our buyer’s agent the seller’s agent just sat there and gleefully let them leave. Isn’t the job of the seller’s agent to start negotiating?
A: The seller’s agent accomplished that in spades. Negotiations have not necessarily concluded. Rewrite and present another offer before someone else does. If it’s rejected, you and your agent put an end to negotiations, not the seller’s agent.
