Q: We are waiting to put our home on the market until a nearby house that is under contract completes its sale. The reason we have to wait is because the Listing Agent on the that property refuses to share what price was actually received with our Agent. Is this unprofessional behavior for Agents not to help one another as our Agent indicated?
A: No. Only a poor representative would share his or her client’s negotiations before a transaction had concluded. In addition, Listing Agents must have their Sellers’ written permission to divulge the agreed upon price during a Pending Sale.
