Two generations of our family have enjoyed De Anza Park. Not only
did I enjoy De Anza Park’s features as a child, I returned with my son, Ryan,
on dozens of occasions. Years later, Ryan would bring his cousins to
enjoy De Anza Park, as well.
Nestled in one of Sunnyvale’s finer neighborhoods, De Anza Park features
two picnic areas, two children’s play areas, horseshoe pits, baseball fields
and acres of grass for other activities.

The adjacent school property, Stratford School, has basketball courts
and a multi-use field that must be reserved in advanced.

My father, and Ryan’s Grandfather, John Kapowich, served on the Sunnyvale
Parks and Recreation Commission from 1982 through 1985 and was Chair from
1987 to 1991.
