Glass Artist Rafael Gevorkian
Rafael has been creating glass works for the past fifteen years. His creative vision informs his sculpture, wall art, and functional design projects that can be found in homes and galleries around the world. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. See more of his work at www.glassartla.com
Artist Statement:
I came across glass quite by accident and what a joyous lifelong relationship we have had. I am always exploring new ways to challenge the nature of glass. Its characteristics are so clear, untouched, fragile yet strong. It is in my nature to take this material as far as it can go. How strong is it? How strong am I? Can I cut the glass deeper? Will it shatter, will the design remain or just melt away? These are the questions that I welcome and enjoy answering for myself.
